NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene involves mixing graphite, potassium nitrate and potassium permanganate in weight ratio of 1:0.5:3, stirring uniformly in a reaction vessel, adding 98% concentrated sulfuric acid, placing reaction vessel in a thermostatic chamber at low temperature, processing in three zones maintained at 0-4 degrees C, 35-45 degrees C and 80-100 degrees C, respectively, isothermally oxidizing at 80-100 degrees C, pickling oxidation product, washing, drying, extruding at 200-500 degrees C in air and reducing at 1000-1200 degrees C in inert gas atmosphere. USE - Preparation of graphene for supercapacitor and lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - Graphene having perfect crystalline microstructure is manufactured with high yield by simple method, and provides supercapacitor having excellent capacitance.
