NOVELTY - Synthesizing a conductive base solution comprises performing polymerization in tetra-n-butyl ammonium bromide solvent with methyl methacrylate as the monomer, copper(I) bromide as catalyst and pentamethyldiethylenetriamine as ligand. USE - The method is useful for synthesizing a conductive base solution to enhance oil recovery by atomic transfer radical polymerization without using an initiator (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: is possible to enhance the oil production factor in oil reservoirs that cannot be taken out from underground with primary and secondary oil recovery methods; provides conductive base solution to stimulate reservoir rock-water-crude oil interfaces; produces an environmentally-friendly base solution that does not pose harm to the rock structure in the application area, preferably in subsea oil reservoirs; and develops a base solution that is resistant to the temperature, pressure and salinity of the environment in the application area, preferably on the seabed. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a conductive base solution comprising a polymer in dissolved form obtained by above method.
