NOVELTY - Method (M1) for treating diabetes involves implanting device comprising graphene sheet into a subject, where graphene sheet comprises several apertures having diameter that allows passage of glucose through the graphene sheet, and device is effective for lowering the amount of glucose in the bloodstream. USE - The method (M1) is useful for treating diabetes. The device is useful for isolating glucose from blood. The method (M2) is useful for isolating blood constituents (all claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) device for isolating glucose from blood; (2) implantable medical device for treating diabetes; and (3) method (M2) for isolating blood constituents.
