NOVELTY - The apparatus has removal tank (10) and pair of electrodes (31A,31B) arranged in the removal tank. The flow path (40) is composed of a pair of electrode. The Fenton's-reagent introducing unit introduces a Fenton's reagent into a flow path. A liquid introducing unit (11) introduces the liquid containing the undesired substance to be removed into a flow path. A liquid discharge unit (12) discharges a liquid from a flow path. A pair of electrode is comprised from the interdigital electrode. The Fenton's-reagent introducing unit is provided with the introducing unit which introduces the gas or the liquid containing an oxygen atom into a flow path. The power supply device applies a voltage to a pair of electrode. The pH adjuster introducing unit introduces the pH adjuster for adjusting pH of a liquid into a flow path. A monitor apparatus monitors the characteristic of the liquid discharged from a liquid discharge unit. USE - Undesired substance removal apparatus for removing undesired substance from liquid. ADVANTAGE - The undesired substance removal apparatus is simple in structure. The electrodes can remove or separate the unnecessary substances with high efficiency such that the removal and separation of unnecessary substances from the liquid can be realized at low cost. The power consumption of the undesired substance removal apparatus is reduced. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Each electrode contains the base and the electrode layer provided in the surface of the base. The electrode layer comprises one side of a pair of electrode includes porous carbon material. The electrode layer comprises the other of a pair of electrode that is diamond-like carbon. The electrode layer comprises each of a pair of electrode containing porous carbon material. The neutralization tank neutralizes the liquid discharged from the liquid discharge unit. The flocculation tank aggregates the solid substance in the liquid discharged from the neutralization tank. The sedimentation tank precipitates the solid substance aggregated with the flocculation tank. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) an undesired substance removal method using removal apparatus, involves making the undesired substance to be removed adsorb to an electrode after introducing the liquid into the flow path from the liquid introducing unit. The undesired substance which introduced the Fenton's reagent into the flow path is disassembled from the Fenton's-reagent introducing unit in the flow path, and adsorbed to the electrode in the state which applied the voltage to a pair of electrode. The Fenton's reagent is introduced into a flow path from a Fenton's-reagent introducing unit in a flow path; (2) a separation apparatus has separation tank and a pair of electrode arranged in the separation tank. The flow path is composed of a pair of electrode. The liquid introducing unit introduces the liquid containing the substance to be separated into a flow path. The liquid discharge unit discharges a liquid from a flow path. The power supply device applies a voltage to a pair of electrode. A pair of electrode is comprised from the interdigital electrode. An electrode contains porous carbon material; and (3) a separation method for separating substance using separation apparatus, involves applying the voltage to the pair of electrode from the power supply device. The electrical double layer is formed between the substance which introduces a liquid into a flow path and separated from a liquid introducing unit, and the electrode in which the electrical double layer is formed.
