(ES2900851-A1) NOVELTY - Electrochemical cell comprises sealed tank (1), at least one inlet (2), at least one outlet, delivery pump, at least two meshes (5) made up of electrically conductive material, power supply, textile electrodes (7) being arranged facing each other to generate homogeneity in electric field, where each mesh supports textile electrode, being electrical contacts of meshes connected to power supply in way that it feeds the meshes electrically with constant and uniform electric potential, one textile electrode acting as anode and another as cathode, and has intermediate layer of electrochemically reduced graphene oxide and outer layer of electrochemically reduced metal nanoparticles. The surface of each mesh is partially covered by the textile electrode. The mesh is made of titanium. The electrically conductive fabrics of the textile electrodes are made up of active carbon fabrics. The metal of the external layer of electrochemically reduced metal nanoparticles is platinum. USE - The electrochemical cell is used in wastewater treatment (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrochemical cell: has meshes which are arranged forming two concentric rings, so that the wastewater to be treated crosses the concentric rings radially; allows treatment of discoloration and reduction of the organic load of wastewater; allows the treatment of a high volume of wastewater in an acceptable time; and is economical and environmentally friendly.
