NOVELTY - Fully methylated beta -cyclodextrin-modified nano graphene/porphyrin super-molecular assembly comprises beta -cyclodextrin-containing compound (I) having C252H375N9O114 and porphyrin (II) having C44H26N4Na4O12S4. The supramolecular assembly is constructed by the interaction of fully methylated beta -cyclodextrin and sodium tetrasulfonate porphyrins, where the morphology of the nano-scale, mesh aggregates. USE - The methylated beta -cyclodextrin-modified nano graphene/porphyrin super-molecular assembly is useful for DNA cleavage (all claimed) and in the field of photodynamic therapy. ADVANTAGE - The super-molecular assembly is prepared in a simple manner, and exhibits excellent cleavage properties for DNA. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Fully methylated beta -cyclodextrin-modified nano graphene/porphyrin super-molecular assembly comprises beta -cyclodextrin-containing compound of formula (I) having C252H375N9O114 and porphyrin of formula (II) having C44H26N4Na4O12S4. The supramolecular assembly is constructed by the interaction of fully methylated beta -cyclodextrin and sodium tetrasulfonate porphyrins, where the morphology of the nano-scale, mesh aggregates. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) method for preparing fully methylated beta -cyclodextrin-modified nano graphene/porphyrin super-molecular assembly, involves (a) dissolving 3-propynyl-modified hexachlorocarbamate and 6-deoxy-6-azido-fully methylated- beta -cyclodextrin in N,N-dimethylformamide, adding cuprous iodide, 3-propynyl-modified hexachlorocarbamate, 6-deoxy-6-azido-fully methylated- beta -cyclodextrin, N,N-dimethylformamide and cuprous iodide in a ratio of 200 mg:1.12 g:100 ml:146 mg, heating mixture at 120 degrees C for 72 hours under nitrogen, filtering and spin drying mixture to column chromatography using mixed solution of dichloromethane and methanol in a volume ratio of 40:1 to obtain a yellow fully methylated beta -cyclodegraded nano-graphene and (b) dissolving above-mentioned yellow fully methylated beta -cyclodextrin-modified nano-graphene and sodium tetrasulfonate porphyrin in water to obtain nano-supramolecular assembly, where the ratio of total methylated beta -cyclodextrin-modified nano-graphene and sodium tetraorthosulfonate porphyrone to water is 5.35 mg:1.86 mg:100 ml to obtain nano-supramolecular assembly; and (2) use of fully methylated beta -cyclodextrin modified nano graphene/porphyrin supramolecular assembly for DNA cleavage which is performed by adding whole-methylated beta -cyclodextrin-modified nano graphene/porphyrin supramolecular assembly to the DNA and subjecting to gel electrophoresis after 30 minutes of light irradiation, and determining optical cutting ability of the assembly based on the brightness of gel electrophoresis band.
