▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Graphene-based aqueous intumescent coating includes graphene-based acrylic emulsion, and the preparation method of the graphene-based acrylic emulsion includes (a) grafting alcohol hydroxyl groups on the surface of graphene to obtain alcohol hydroxylated graphene, (b) grafting the initiator 4,4'-azobis(4-cyanovaleric acid) (ACVA) on the alcohol-hydroxylated graphene to prepare a graphene-based initiator, and (c) using a graphene-based initiator to initiate polymerization of acrylic monomers to prepare a graphene-based acrylic emulsion. USE - As graphene-based aqueous intumescent coating. ADVANTAGE - The coating has high fireproof performance. The graphene-based initiators inherit the inherent structure and properties of the original graphene, and have excellent water-soluble properties, and are completely suitable for initiating acrylic monomers. The coating utilizes the graphene with excellent characteristics, where the two-dimensional sheet structure of graphene forms a dense insulating layer in the fireproof coating, which plays a flame retardant effect. Simultaneously, the graphene and the matrix are crosslinked and compounded to form a protective layer, which effectively inhibits the overflow of solid particles formed during the combustion process, and has a significant smoke suppression effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the coating, involves (i) adding the graphene-based acrylic emulsion to the mixer, adding the neutralizer, stirring, adding the plasticizer, continuously stirring, adding cosolvent, dispersant, and stabilizer, and uniformly stirring, and (ii) adding the intumescent flame retardant and the flame retardant filler, and uniformly stirring to obtain the coating.
