NOVELTY - A graphene oxide/polythiophene derivative composite material is prepared by adding graphite oxide in water, ultrasonically dispersing to obtain oxidized graphene oxide solution, adding thiophene derivative monomer to form graphene oxide solution and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain a mixed solution. The resultant mixed solution is added to hydrochloric acid followed by adjusting pH value, adding ammonium persulfate and ferric sulfate, stirring mixture for 20-24 hours, washing by water, and filtering washed product to obtain a finished product. USE - Graphene oxide/polythiophene derivative composite material. ADVANTAGE - The composite material has high thermal stability and durability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing graphite oxide, which involves adding graphite powder into concentrated sulfuric acid, adding potassium permanganate, stirring mixture at room temperature for 2 hours, keeping mixture in a water bath, stirring mixture for 24 hours, adding de-ionized water and hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution with concentration of 30%, and filtering, washing and drying to obtain finished product.
