NOVELTY - Preparing super-hydrophobic sponge involves adding 0.05-0.3 pts. wt. oxidized graphene that is ultrasonically dispersed in 100 pts. wt. water. The obtained mixture is added with 1.5-10 pts. wt. hydrogen bromide. The obtained mixture is stirred at normal temperature. The obtained stirred mixture is added with 3-20 pts. wt. thiourea and 4-20 pts. wt. sodium hydroxide. The obtained mixture is stirred at 70-90 degrees C for 12-20 hours. USE - Method for preparing super-hydrophobic sponge used for oil-water separation application (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare super-hydrophobic sponge with high selectivity and strong adsorption capacity.
