NOVELTY - A flexible supercapacitor comprises electrolyte sandwiched between nickel foams electrodeposited with nanocomposite which contains conducting polymer, graphene oxide, and metal oxide. USE - A flexible supercapacitor. ADVANTAGE - The flexible supercapacitor has remarkable electrochemical stability when subjected to bending at various angles, improved energy storage capability, good mechanical strength, light weight, remarkable flexibility, and simple fabrication process and can withstand stress at various curvatures. The cycling stability of the supercapacitor shows favorable specific capacitance retention of greater than or equal to 90% after 1000 cycles for mild alkaline electrolytes compared to strong alkalic electrolytes. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of flexible supercapacitor which involves electrodepositing nanocomposite electro-potentiostatically on a nickel foam from aqueous solution having a conducting monomer, a graphene oxide, and a metal salt, placed in one compartment cell, and compressing electrolyte between greater than or equal to 2 layers of electrodeposited nickel foams.
