NOVELTY - Preparation of fluorine-free-magnetically driven superhydrophobic oil-water separation foam material involves: (1) modifying ferroferric oxide by stirring and dissolving modifier in absolute ethanol, then adding ferroferric oxide, mixing, adding to 100 ml PTFE-lined reaction kettle, reacting, cooling, vacuum filtering, washing and drying; (2) preparing a coating by adding silicone resin, modified ferroferric oxide, graphene, nanoparticles and organic solvent to a beaker, and magnetically stirring; and (3) adding melamine formaldehyde foam with a size of 2×2×2 cm3to deionized water and absolute ethanol for ultrasonically cleaning, drying, soaking the cleaned foam in the coating, magnetically stirring, ensuring that the foam is completely soaked in the coating during soaking, taking out the foam, extruding the excess coating with two clean glass sheets, ensuring that the stress area of the foam is the same and the surface of the foam is smooth after extrusion, and drying. USE - Preparation of fluorine-free-magnetically driven superhydrophobic oil-water separation foam material used in treatment of offshore oil spill and separation of oil stain. ADVANTAGE - The method is low in cost, simple and environmentally-friendly, provides superhydrophobic foam, which has strong absorption capacity for various organic solvents, and does not have change in oil absorption capacity even after 10 absorption cycles, and uses fluorine-free, non-toxic, low surface energy modifier and inexpensive and easy-to-obtain magnetite-based commercial ferroferric oxide. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of fluorine-free-magnetically driven superhydrophobic oil-water separation foam material involves: (1) modifying ferroferric oxide by stirring and dissolving 0.5-1 g modifier in 50-60 ml absolute ethanol at room temperature, then adding 8-9 g ferroferric oxide, uniformly mixing, adding to 100 ml PTFE-lined reaction kettle, placing the kettle in an oven, reacting at 80-100°C for 2 hours, cooling the kettle to room temperature, vacuum filtering the product, repeatedly washing the filter cake 3-5 times with absolute ethanol, and placing the filter cake in an oven to dry at 80-100°C for 2 hours; (2) preparing a coating by adding 5-7 g silicone resin, 0.5 g modified ferroferric oxide, 0.2-0.3 g graphene, 0.2-0.4 g nanoparticles and 25-35 ml organic solvent to a beaker, and magnetically stirring for 5-10 minutes until the sample is completely mixed; and (3) adding melamine formaldehyde foam with a size of 2×2×2 cm3to deionized water and absolute ethanol for ultrasonic cleaning for 10 minutes, drying in an oven at 80°C for 2 hours, soaking the cleaned foam in the coating, magnetically stirring for 5-10 minutes, ensuring that the foam is completely soaked in the coating during soaking, taking out the foam, extruding the excess coating with two clean glass sheets, ensuring that the stress area of the foam is the same and the surface of the foam is smooth after extrusion, placing the extruded foam in a beaker, and drying in oven at 80°C for 12 hours.
