▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The method involves providing an optical substrate (501), determining a desired degree of optical transmittance of the filter, and disposing n layers of graphene (502) on the substrate, where n is determined by the desired optical transmittance of the filter and the optical transmittance of the substrate in accordance with a certain relation. USE - Method for fabricating a broadband absorptive neutral density optical filter, e.g., for controlling intensity of light. ADVANTAGE - The absorptance/transmittance of a broadband absorptive neutral density optical filter can be easily tuned by varying the number of graphene layers, for any given substrate, thus allowing its use in a wide variety of optical assemblies and components. Such filters can be transferred to a variety of substrates or can be transferred into existing optical devices without degradation of optical and thermal advantages. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for fabricating a broadband absorptive neutral density filtering optical system. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing is a block diagram illustrating aspects of formation of a broadband absorptive neutral density optical filter.
