NOVELTY - A composite electrode material is a bacterial cellulose/conductive material composite film with surface loaded with silver or copper nanoparticles. USE - Composite electrode material is used in carbon dioxide electrocatalysis, fuel cells, photocatalysis, and biocatalysis (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite electrode material has high specific surface area, conductivity, and catalytic efficiency, and excellent durability, can be prepared by a simple and environmentally-friendly method in a short time, and contributes to environmental protection and energy recycle. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the composite electrode material, which involves soaking a bacterial cellulose/conductive material composite film in a copper-ion-containing or a silver-ion-containing aqueous solution under vibrating conditions at 30-90 degrees C, mixing sodium hydroxide, a stabilizer, and a reducing agent under ice water bath condition to obtain a mixed solution, adding the copper/silver-ion-containing aqueous solution containing the composite film, oscillating at 30-90 degrees C, and drying to obtain an electrochemical catalytic electrode.
