NOVELTY - The modulator has a silicon thin film (1) formed with a silicon dioxide thin film (2) that is fixed with the single layer graphene part (4). A quartz glass base plate (3) is fixed with the single layer graphene part. A metal electrode (5) is connected with a modulating signal source (6) and a carrier wave source (7). The single layer graphene part is covered a silicon dioxide thin film cover. Height and width of the silicon dioxide film are determined about 1.5 cm and 300nm, respectively. Height of the quartz glass base plate is 128 um. USE - Graphite alkene and terahertz wave transmission modulator. ADVANTAGE - The modulator is simple and compact in structure, simple to control, small in volume and easy to integrate, and has wide application range.
