NOVELTY - The preparation method of graphene/polyvinyl alcohol composite material involves adding graphite powder and potassium permanganate to concentrated sulfuric acid, reacting, heating, reacting, cooling, performing centrifugal sedimentation, washing and drying, adding obtained graphite oxide to deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing, and centrifuging to remove unstripped graphite oxide, and adding polyvinyl alcohol to aqueous solution of graphene oxide and evaporating solvent. USE - Preparation of graphene/polyvinyl alcohol composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene/polyvinyl alcohol composite material with excellent mechanical properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation method of graphene/polyvinyl alcohol composite material involves adding graphite powder and potassium permanganate to concentrated sulfuric acid, reacting at 40-60 degrees C for 2-3 hours, heating at 75-90 degrees C, reacting for 0.5-1 hour, cooling, performing centrifugal sedimentation, washing and drying to obtain graphite oxide, adding graphite oxide to deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing for 1-2 hours, and centrifuging to remove unstripped graphite oxide to obtain aqueous solution of graphene oxide, and adding polyvinyl alcohol to aqueous solution of graphene oxide to obtain mixed solution and evaporating solvent. The content of graphene is 0.2 wt.%.
