NOVELTY - Graphite powder, sodium nitrate, concentrated sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate are reacted. Deionized water and hydrogen peroxide are further added and reacted, and the suspension is ultrasonically processed. Chitosan, deionized water and ( alpha )-amylase are mixed and heated. The mixture is cooled to obtain degraded chitosan solution. The obtained solution, processed suspension, sodium bicarbonate, horse radish peroxidase solution and hydrogen peroxide solution are further added and heated to obtain chitosan modified graphene oxide functional leather tanning agent. USE - Manufacture of chitosan modified graphene oxide tanning agent used for tanning and retanning of functional leather. ADVANTAGE - The chitosan modified graphene oxide functional leather tanning agent has excellent tanning performance and produces tanned leather having excellent strength and flexibility. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - (In parts weight) graphite powder (10), sodium nitrate (2) and concentrated sulfuric acid (80) are mixed. Potassium permanganate (19) is added and the contents are reacted at 5-25 degrees C. Deionized water (360) and hydrogen peroxide are further added and reacted. The obtained suspension is ultrasonically processed for 30 minutes. Chitosan (20-30), deionized water (100-150) and ( alpha )-amylase (0.1-0.3) are mixed and heated. The mixture is cooled to room temperature to obtain degraded chitosan solution. The obtained solution is mixed with the ultrasonically processed suspension and sodium bicarbonate. Horse radish peroxidase solution (3) and hydrogen peroxide solution (5-15) are further added and heated for 4-5 hours to obtain chitosan modified graphene oxide functional leather tanning agent.
