NOVELTY - Preparation of poly N-isopropyl acrylamide three-dimensional (3D) self-deforming hydrogel involves (S1) adding N-isopropylacrylamide, N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide, UV light absorber and 2-hydroxy-2-methyl propiophenone in deionized water, and ultrasonically treating to obtain poly N-isopropyl acrylamide (PNIPAM) solution, (S2) injecting poly N-isopropyl acrylamide solution into glass mold, covering the cut photomask on the surface of glass mold to the requirement of pre-designed three-dimensional structure, fixing glass mold under UV lamp, and performing unidirectional illumination or bidirectional illumination for 4-8 hours to obtain polymerized poly N-isopropyl acrylamide hydrogel, and (S3) removing polymerized poly N-isopropyl acrylamide hydrogel from the glass mold to obtain pre-designed three-dimensional structure poly N-isopropylacrylamide three-dimensional self-deforming hydrogel. USE - Preparation of poly N-isopropyl acrylamide three-dimensional self-deforming hydrogel used for development of complex biomedical implants and soft robots. ADVANTAGE - The method undergoes self-deforming behavior under external stimulation for the development of complex biomedical implants and soft robots.
