NOVELTY - Freezing and casting of interlayer toughened fiber composite material involves (i) dispersing a one-dimensional or two-dimensional nanomaterial in water and mixing fully with water-soluble polymers, (ii) fully soaking a woven fiber cloth in the water-soluble polymer solution containing nanomaterials and directionally freezing on a metal mold, and freeze-drying to obtain aerogel-loaded fiber cloth, and (iii) soaking the aerogel-loaded fiber cloth in the matrix resin in a vacuum state, so that the matrix resin fully infiltrates the multiple layers of aerogel-loaded fiber cloth, molding and curing. USE - Freezing and casting of interlayer toughened fiber composite material. ADVANTAGE - The method solves the problems of complicated process flow, high equipment cost and low specific surface area in the interlayer toughened fiber treatment process. The method for growing aerogel on the fiber surface is simple and economical and can impart multiple functionalities to the fiber composite material, and lays a foundation for the realization of the structure and function integration of the composite material.
