NOVELTY - Polymer composition comprises at least one polymer and additives including dehydrating flame retardants and fillers. The dehydrating flame retardants include aluminium trihydroxide, magnesium dihydroxides and/or zinc borate. The fillers include silica, silicates and/or graphene. USE - The polymer composition is useful as an aid in preventive fire protection in polymer-containing workpieces in the field of construction, plant and device engineering and transport (claimed) including rail vehicles, cars, buses, trucks, ships and aircraft. ADVANTAGE - The polymer composition is flame-retardant, halogen-free and economical to process, has high dynamic load-bearing capacity and improves the mechanical properties of the polymer moldings.
