NOVELTY - The metal matrix composite has a metal matrix and reinforcement particles dispersed in the metal matrix. The reinforcement particles are distributed in a gradient in the metal matrix. The reinforcement particles are distributed in the metal matrix in a gradient along the longitudinal thickness direction. The metal matrix comprises a single metal matrix or an alloy matrix. The reinforcement particles comprise silicon carbide particles, diamond particles, boron carbide particles, or graphene particles. USE - Metal-based composite material for use in heat sink (claimed) of an electronic device. ADVANTAGE - The metal-based composite material has an excellent comprehensive performance, high volume fraction ratio, high heat conductivity coefficient, adjustable thermal expansion coefficient, high hardness and low density, good and long-term stable performance, and improved thermal deformation. The heat sink has better thermal fatigue performance and prolonged service life.
