▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - System comprises: horizontal reactor (5) including at least rotary ribbon means (19) operatively connected to rotating mechanical shaft inside horizontal reactor for controlled carbon black fluidization and motion inside reactor involving rotary ribbon means for desired full exposure of carbon black particles inside horizontal reactor along with selectively and controlled feed of ozone oxidizing gas, where horizontal reactor has inlet end for feeding carbon black to be treated ozone generator (3) operatively connected to horizontal reactor for selectively and controlled feeding of ozone oxidizing gas for desired oxidation of carbon black in fluidized form throughout entire volume of reactor; filter bag unit (9) for collecting outgoing unused ozone and separating from it carbon black carried through outgoing ozone gas; and discharge outlet (14) of reactor for discharging thus generated surface treated carbon black including at least of fluffy, granules and powder carbon black. USE - The system is useful for treating carbon substrate to generate oxidized carbon substrate including carbon black selectively at least one of fluffy, granules and powder carbon black, where the carbon black substrate includes furnace black, gas black, thermal black, lamp black, channel black, plasma black, blacks produced as by-product of chemical production processes, and hybridized carbon black materials and carbon blacks having oil absorption number value (ASTMD 2414) of 65-550 ml/100 g, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area (ASTMD 4820) of 30-1270 m2/g (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The system: requires less oxidation time of carbon black; improves wettability and rheology in paints and coatings; and is simple and environmentally friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: urface modifying carbon substrate to generate oxidized carbon substrate; and urface treated oxidized carbon substrate.
