NOVELTY - Positive electrode comprises a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material layer positioned on at least one surface of the positive electrode current collector, where the positive electrode active material layer comprises a first sulfur-carbon composite containing a first carbon material and sulfur and a second sulfur-carbon composite containing a second carbon material and sulfur, the first carbon material and the second carbon material have different shapes, the first carbon material has a specific surface area of 200-400 m2/g, and the second carbon material has a specific surface area of 600-1000 m2/g. USE - The positive electrode is used for lithium-sulfur battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The positive electrode exhibits excellent surface uniformity despite low porosity, and has improved electrochemical property, reactivity and stability. The lithium-sulfur battery has high capacity and high energy density. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a lithium-sulfur battery comprising the positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte.
