NOVELTY - A graphene-hydroxyl lithium composite material comprises graphene and lithium hydroxylaniline, where the lithium hydroxylaniline is bonded with graphene through covalent bond and distributed on a surface of the graphene. USE - Graphene-hydroxyl lithium composite material for use in a lithium battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material is rich in lithium hydroxide, and improves specific capacity of an electrode material of a lithium battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a method for preparing a graphene-hydroxyl lithium composite material, which involves placing graphite oxide in organic solvent, preparing a graphene oxide suspension by ultrasonic agitation, adding hydroxyl aniline alcohol solution into the graphene oxide suspension, refluxing to obtain graphene oxide aniline, and reacting hydroxyl groups of the graphene oxide and lithium salt of aniline in water to obtain graphene-hydroxyl oxide composite material (2) a lithium ion battery.
