▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A graphene sand nanocomposite comprises russellite and iron(II,III) oxide. The ratio of bismuth, tungsten oxide, iron(II,III) oxide and graphene sand composite in the graphene sand nanocomposite is 1:1:0.6:0.4. USE - Graphene sand nanocomposite is used for photodegradation of antibiotics in waste water for waste water pollutant treatment. ADVANTAGE - The graphene sand nanocomposite is capable of photodegradation of antibiotics in waste water at a very low concentration of 0.05%, in a cost-effective manner. The graphene sand nanocomposite is easy and economical to manufacture on industrial scale. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for synthesis of graphene sand nanocomposite, which involves dissolving 1 part mass bismuth(III) nitrate pentahydrate in 50 parts mass water, acidifying the obtained mixture by adding 4 parts mass 2 M nitric acid and stirring for 20 minutes, adding 0.4 parts mass graphene sand composite to the obtained solution and stirring for 30 minutes, adding 0.6 parts mass iron(II,III) oxide, ultrasonically processing the obtained mixture for 20 minutes and stirring for 2 hours at 80 degrees C to obtain a precipitate comprising russellite, iron(II,III) oxide and graphene sand composite, and washing the precipitate with water followed by rinsing with ethanol to remove any impurities and drying at 90 degrees C in hot air oven.
