NOVELTY - A sulfur material comprises a sulfur-based material and a binder which are mixed with each other. The binder comprises a composite material of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) and lignosulfonic acid. USE - Sulfur material is used in anode for metal-sulfur battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sulfur material can effectively improve structural stability and electroconductivity of the anode, inhibit polysulfide shuttle in the metal-sulfur battery, and improves electrochemical performance such as cycle stability and capacity retention rate of the metal-sulfur battery. The reduction of lithium-sulfur battery capacity caused by electrode powdering and polysulfide shuttle is prevented. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of the sulfur material; (2) anode, which comprises an anode current collector and the sulfur material; and (3) a metal-sulfur battery, which comprises a cathode, an electrolyte and the anode.
