NOVELTY - Preparation of acid, alkali and salt resistant poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) composite membrane involves (1) preparing polyvinylidene fluoride/graphene oxide (PVDF/GO) hybrid membrane by dissolving GO and PVDF powder prepared by an improved Hummers method in N-methylpyrrolidone, stirring, mixing, standing, preparing a PVDF/GO hybrid membrane, storing the membrane in deionized water, (2) preparing KH-570 (methacryl-functional silane) modified PVDF/GO membrane by dissolving KH-570 (methacryl-functional silane) in water/methanol mixed solution, stirring, taking out the KH-570 (methacryl -functional silane) modified PVDF/GO membrane, washing with ethanol and water, and air drying, (3) preparing the membrane by adding acrylic acid and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate into a water/methanol mixed solution, mixing, adding PVDF/GO membrane, adding azobisisobutyronitrile, reacting in a water bath under nitrogen, and obtaining the prepared membrane, washing with ethanol and water, and air drying. USE - Preparation of acid, alkali and salt resistant poly(vinylidene fluoride) composite membrane used for oil-water emulsion separation in complex environment (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides acid alkali and salt resistant PVDF composite membrane having superhydrophilic/underwater superoleophobic properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of acid, alkali and salt resistant poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) composite membrane involves (1) preparing polyvinylidene fluoride/graphene oxide (PVDF/GO) hybrid membrane by dissolving GO and PVDF powder prepared by an improved Hummers method in N -methylpyrrolidone(NMP), mechanically stirring and uniformly mixing, standing, preparing a PVDF/GO hybrid membrane by a phase inversion method, and storing the obtained membrane in deionized water, (2) preparing KH-570 (methacryl-functional silane) modified PVDF/GO membrane by dissolving KH-570 (methacryl -functional silane) in water/methanol mixed solution, magnetically stirring in constant temperature water bath, taking out the KH-570 (methacryl-functional silane) modified PVDF/GO membrane, washing with ethanol and water, and air drying, (3) preparing the acid, alkali and salt resistant PVDF composite membrane by adding acrylic acid and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) into a water/methanol mixed solution, uniformly mixing, adding the KH-570 (methacryl-functional silane) modified PVDF/GO membrane, adding azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN), reacting in a water bath under nitrogen for a certain period of time, and obtaining the prepared durable underwater ultra-oleophobic composite membrane, washing with ethanol and water for several times, and air drying.
