NOVELTY - Graphene oxide reduction involves oxidizing graphite nanoplatelets to obtain graphene oxide, preferably by oxidation of hummers, exfoliating the resulting graphene oxide through ultrasonic medium, and then reducing graphene oxide partially in aqueous medium with a mild reducer at room temperature and a basic pH. The partially reduced graphene oxide is removed and dried to give the reduced graphene oxide. USE - Method for reducing graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method facilitates partial reduction of graphene oxide in a simple and cost-effective manner by using mild reducers at room temperature.
