NOVELTY - Lithium ion battery comprises a lithium electrode, an electrolyte and a graphene electrode material, where the graphene electrode material including a graphene carrier and load, the load including nickel oxide and second metal oxide during charging and discharging, the loading reaction generates a binary metal element which can catalyze the reversible decomposition of the electrolyte. USE - Used as lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The battery: reduce the functional groups on the surface of graphene oxide; improve the utilization rate of the active material; and obtains higher charge-discharge specific capacity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) a graphene electrode material comprising a graphene carrier and a load, where the load includes at least one of chromium oxide, cobalt oxide, zinc oxide, ferrous oxide, manganese oxide and nickel oxide; and (2) preparing precursor of a graphene electrode material comprising mixing water-soluble nickel salt, a second metal salt, a graphene material and a precipitant and allowing to react to obtain a precursor, where the second metal salt includes at least one of water-soluble chromium salt, water-soluble cobalt salt, water-soluble zinc salt, water-soluble iron salt or water-soluble manganese salt.
