NOVELTY - The preparation of composite material involves sensitizing graphene, activating for electroless nickel plating, washing, drying, adding nickel-plated graphene with aluminum alloy powders, adding into ball mill, vacuumizing, filling with protective gas, grinding to obtain aluminum alloy and nickel-plated graphene mixed powder, pressing mixed powder into blank, preheating blank to certain temperature, heat preserving, transferring to extrusion die, extruding, and cooling extruded material, where blank preheating temperature is semi-solid temperature of aluminum alloy. USE - Preparation method of graphene/aluminum composite material used in military, aerospace, power, and heat exchange applications. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene/aluminum composite material with excellent wetting property, high strength, compact structure, high specific strength, specific stiffness, excellent thermal conductivity and excellent electric conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation method of graphene/aluminum composite material involves (1) sensitizing graphene, activating by adding electroless nickel plating solution for electroless nickel plating, washing, drying, (2) adding nickel-plated graphene with 100-500 mesh aluminum alloy powders,, adding material into the ball mill, vacuumizing, filling with protective gas nitrogen or argon, grinding to obtain aluminum alloy and nickel-plated graphene mixed powder, (3) pressing aluminum alloy and nickel-plated graphene mixed powder into blank, (4) preheating blank to certain temperature, heat preserving for 5-20 minutes, transferring to extrusion die, extruding at a rate of 1-20 mm/second, extrusion ratio is 5-50% semi-solid extrusion, and cooling extruded material, where blank preheating temperature is semi-solid temperature of the aluminum alloy used in the semi-solid state with the solid volume fraction 40-80%.
