NOVELTY - A graphene derivative material comprises amino-nitrogen-containing aromatic hydrocarbon derivative of graphene. USE - Graphene derivative material for use in an electrode of a lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene derivative material has high specific capacity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing graphene derivative material, which involves oxidation reaction on graphite, potassium permanganate and concentrated sulfuric acid to obtain oxidized graphite, followed by dissolving oxidized graphite in a solvent, adding nitrogen-containing aromatic amino compound and ethanol solution, processing reflux reaction at 80 degrees C for 24 hours to obtain oxidized graphite alkene amino nitrogen-containing aromatic hydrocarbon derivative, performing hydration on the obtained derivative using hydrazine at 80 degrees C for 5-24 hours under reflux reaction, and annealing the resultant derivative at 50-150 degrees C for 10 hours to obtain a finished product.
