NOVELTY - The electrochemical cell has an aqueous electrolyte solution, an anode and a cathode contained in a vessel, in which the aqueous electrolyte solution has water, graphene oxide nanosheets and copper chloride dissolved in the water. The anode is aluminum and the cathode is graphite. The distance between the anode and the cathode ranges from about 1-5 centimeter. The concentration of the graphene oxide nanosheets ranges from about 0.5-5 milligram per milliliter. The graphene oxide nanosheets have a thickness ranging from 4-8 nanometers and form stacked layers. USE - Graphene oxide-based electrochemical cell for battery (claimed) used for e.g., electrical vehicles and hybrid electrical vehicles. Can also used for portable electronics e.g., laptops and mobile phones. ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide based electrochemical cell has high energy density.
