NOVELTY - Preparing graphene from graphite comprises mixing layered graphite or expanded graphite and dispersant aqueous solution at room temperature, then carrying out electrochemical reaction to generate hydroxy free radicals using air and water in the system, peeling, then filtering and separating the precipitate, washing with water and carrying out microwave drying to obtain graphene product. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene from graphite. ADVANTAGE - The graphene has 17 layers, conductivity of more than 300S/cm, yield of 98%, and excellent quality. The method: adopts normal temperature preparation; has simple process; does not need to consume strong oxidizing acid or alkali solution or organic solvent (only consumes electricity and air); utilizes layered graphite which has excellent peeling effect; is environmentally friendly.
