NOVELTY - The waveguide has a cylindrical dielectric rod fixed with two dielectric winded graphenes. A coupling generates electromagnetic interaction and a surface plasma wave by utilizing the dielectric winded graphenes. The coupling divides a surface plasma wave mode into an optical mode and an acoustic mode according to different dispersion characteristics by changing distance between dielectric winded graphenes. Interlayers of the dielectric winded graphenes comprise dielectric constant to adjust effective mode indexes of the optical mode and the acoustic mode and transmission loss. USE - Column based photonic integrated circuit and sub-wavelength optical device dual-layer graphene surface plasma waveguide.
