NOVELTY - A square lithium metal battery comprises an anode sheet, a cathode sheet, diaphragm or a solid electrolyte film and outer package. The anode sheet and cathode sheet are separated by a separator or a solid electrolyte membrane to form a battery inner core which is encapsulated in the outer package. The cathode sheet comprises metal lithium composite sheet, cathode current collector and cathode lug. The metal lithium composite sheet comprises a metal lithium and a composite component. The metal lithium composite sheet comprises an array structure on at least one section vertical to their thickness. The array structure is metal lithium and composite component arranged at intervals. The cathode current collector is metal strip or metal wire network containing network or metal wire with metal strips, which is tightly adhered on one surface of metal lithium composite sheet. The cathode lug and cathode current collector are electrically connected to form a cathode current collecting unit. USE - Square lithium metal battery.
