NOVELTY - Biosensor comprises (a) a first cable comprising a first fiber for trapping target bacteria in analyte sample and a pH sensitive material arranged on the first fiber, and (b) a second cable comprising a second fiber and a conductive material arranged on the second fiber. USE - The biosensor is useful in kit for providing information on diagnosis of periodontal disease (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The biosensor is a flexible and easy-to-handle fiber-type biosensor, and accurately detects periodontal disease in a simple and rapid manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) an informational kit comprising (a) the biosensor, and (b) a fluorescent probe capable of binding to at least one of the cell wall, DNA, and RNA of the target bacteria captured by the biosensor; and (2) a method for providing information on diagnosis of periodontal disease.
