NOVELTY - The device has substrate (56), graphite cathode, and carbon anode. The cathode (20) and anode (10) are configured to create arc discharge producing flux stream, and to deposit material from flux stream on substrate. A collection device is configured to remove deposited material from substrate. The collection device is comprised with brush. The collection device is configured to simultaneously remove deposited material from substrate along with anode depositing material. The flux stream is comprised with carbon vapor, and deposit on substrate is comprised with graphene. USE - Graphene producing device. ADVANTAGE - The production of the graphene in bulk quantities and low cost is possible. Since graphene is synthesized directly from the raw carbon material without need to utilize any expensive chemicals, the graphene platelets are produced in bulk in tens of tons at low cost. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The device has the substrate which is heated by the flux stream. The longitudinal axis of the anode is offset from the cathode longitudinal axis. The interior surface of the cylindrical shaped substrate is formed with central bore, so that the anode receives in the central bore, and the flux stream deposits material on the interior surface of the substrate. The anode is a rod which is partially concentrically arranged inside cylindrical substrate. The inside diameter of the cylindrical substrate is made as greater than the outer diameter of the anode. The substrate is a tube with one open end, so that current passes from the cathode to the anode through the open end. The anode electrode and cathode electrode are configured to provide the flux stream. The substrate is comprised with a flat surface, so that the flux stream is deposited on the flat surface. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) the method for synthesizing the graphene, involves providing a substrate, providing a first electrode, and providing a second electrode which is offset from the first electrode. The second electrode produces the flux that is deposited on the substrate. The deposited flux is collected from the substrate. the steps of depositing the flux and collecting the deposited material are performed simultaneously. The substrate is rotated during the steps of depositing and collecting. The flux is carbon vapor, and the deposited material is graphene; and (2) the device for synthesizing graphene, has a substrate, a first electrode and a second electrode offset from the first electrode. The first and second electrodes produce an arc discharge that forms a flux that is deposited onto the substrate.
