▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Manufacturing a composite comprises: (a) exfoliating graphene; and (b) combining ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) with the exfoliated graphene, where the UHMWPE has an elastic shear modulus in the plateau region of 1.4MPa and a molecular weight/ number average molecular weight ratio of 15 and graphene is present at 0.5-5 wt.% based on the combined dry mass of the UHMWPE and the graphene. USE - The process is useful for manufacturing a composite which is used to obtain a material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The process: provides a composite with improved processability, preferably shows good miscibility with polyolefins; is easy; requires less energy input; and can be performed at lower temperature. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) composite comprising UHMWPE and 0.5-5 wt.% of graphene based on the combined dry mass of the UHMWPE and the graphene; (2) composite is obtained by the above process; and (3) material comprising a blend of the composite and a polyolefin.
