NOVELTY - Virus enrichment material comprises graphene ferroferric oxide particles and cetrimonium bromide (CTAB) attached to surface of the graphene ferroferric oxide particles. USE - The virus enrichment material is useful for enriching virus, preferably food-borne virus, new coronavirus (all claimed), norovirus, rotavirus, or adenovirus. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) method for preparing the virus-enrichment material involves dispersing graphene ferroferric oxide particles in ultrapure water, mixing resulting dispersion with CTAB, and freeze-drying to obtain virus-enrichment material; and (2) virus enrichment system comprising phosphate buffered saline (PBS) buffer, virus suspension and virus enrichment material dispersion, where the virus-enriched material in virus-enriched material dispersion is virus-enriched material or virus-enriched material prepared by the preparation method.
