NOVELTY - Increasing oxygen content of graphene oxide comprises taking graphene oxide as raw material, water as a solvent, and alkali metal hydroxide, carbonate or bicarbonate as catalyst, and reacting at specific reaction pressure and reaction temperature. USE - The method is useful for increasing oxygen content of graphene oxide (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple: and increases the oxygen, preferably hydroxy oxygen content of the graphene oxide.
