NOVELTY - Manufacture of storage battery involves forming a mixture comprising an active material, graphene oxide, binder, and solvent, providing the mixture over a surface to form an active material layer (102), evaporating the solvent in the active material layer, reducing graphene oxide in the active material layer to form a graphene, and consolidating the active material layer by a compression method. The graphene oxide reducing step is performed in a polar solvent comprising reducer. USE - Manufacture of storage battery used in electronic device (claimed) e.g. display devices of televisions, monitors, lighting devices, desktop personal computers and laptop personal computers, word processors, image reproduction devices, and recording media e.g. digital versatile discs (DVDs). Uses include but are not limited to portable CD players, portable radios, tape recorders, headphone stereos, stereos, table clocks, wall clocks, cordless phone handsets, transceivers, portable wireless devices, mobile phones, car phones, portable game machines, calculators, portable information terminals, electronic notebooks, e-book readers, electronic translators, audio input devices, video cameras, digital still cameras, toys, electric shavers, high-frequency heating appliances such as microwave ovens, electric rice cookers, electric washing machines, electric vacuum cleaners, water heaters, electric fans, hair dryers, air-conditioning systems such as air conditioners, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers, dishwashers, dish dryers, clothes dryers, futon dryers, electric refrigerators, electric freezers, electric refrigerator-freezers, freezers for preserving DNA, flashlights, electrical tools e.g. chain saw, smoke detectors, and medical equipment e.g. dialyzers, semiconductor display device e.g. liquid crystal display device, light-emitting device, electrophoresis display device, digital micromirror device, plasma display panel, or field emission display, optical sensor, other detecting devices e.g. sensors for determining inclination, such as gyroscope or acceleration sensor. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of storage battery with improved durability, reliability for long-term use, fuel efficiency, and battery capacity. The battery provides highly safe chemical reduction of graphene oxide. The battery has reduced possibility of liquid leakage and usage rate of electric power, and prevents abnormal heat generation.
