NOVELTY - A portable nanomembrane-based water purifier comprises a graphene-based nanocomposite membrane for purifying water by removing undesirable impurities and retaining useful minerals in water. USE - Portable nanomembrane-based water purifier used in water purifying system for ready generation of purified drinking water with useful mineral content (claimed) from ground water and fresh water. ADVANTAGE - The portable nanomembrane-based water purifier is highly selective for removing the undesirable impurities such as pathogens, more than 98% arsenic and more than 80% fluoride, and retaining the useful minerals such as more than 50% of calcium and magnesium in water. The purifier efficiently purifies ground water and fresh water, and is economical. The water purifier system facilitates effective recycling of the rejected water during purification for saving unwanted loss of fresh water.
