NOVELTY - Preparing graphene comprises adding hexabromobenzene and substance A into a solvent, stirring, heating for 2-48 hours at 100-200 degrees C under normal pressure or pressurizing pressure in an anaerobic environment or aerobic environment. The ratio of hexabromobenzene, substance A and the solvent is (0.1-50 mg):(0.05-500 mg):(1 ml). The solvent is diethylene glycol dimethyl ether, diphenyl ether, ethyl ether, tetrahydrofuran, toluene or benzene. The substance A is copper bromide, copper iodide, copper chloride, copper or nickel. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method has simple technique and requires moderate reaction condition.
