NOVELTY - Sustained-release nucleating agent comprises active component and coating body wrapped on the surface of the active component. The coating body is cellulose, polyester, polylactic acid, chitosan, polyamide and/or hydrophilic aerogel, the active component is disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium pyrophosphate decahydrate, sodium carbonate decahydrate, sodium metasilicate nonahydrate and/or calcium chloride hexahydrate, the average particle size of the sustained-release nucleating agent is 0.002-15 mm and the content-to-mass ratio of the coating body to active component in the sustained-release nucleating agent is 1:8-30. USE - The sustained-release nucleating agent is useful in phase change material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sustained-release nucleating agent: used in phase change material, which can be efficiently inhibits the phase separation of the phase change material and obtaining phase change material with excellent cycle performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) Preparing sustained-release nucleating agent, comprising (i) heating the active component to obtain molten active ingredient, and (ii) contacting and mixing the coating body with the molten active ingredient to obtain final product, where the content-to-mass ratio of the coating body to the molten active ingredient is 1:8-30; and (2) Sustained-release nucleating agent prepared by above method.
