NOVELTY - The preparation method involves mixing 0.5-3.0 wt.% graphene, 10-40 wt.% nickel, and rest silver in a ball mill. The mixture is press-formed and then sintered in a hydrogen environment, and subjected to extrusion or rolling to obtain the product. USE - Preparation method for graphene/silver-nickel electric contact material. ADVANTAGE - By adding proper amount of graphene into the silver-nickel, contact resistance is reduced, and anti-arc erosion resistance is enhanced. The adding of nickel and silver on substrate increases hardness, fusion welding resistance, and oxidation resistance. The preparation method is simple, making it suited for mass production. The sintering process is performed in a hydrogen environment, avoiding damage to the graphene structure.
