NOVELTY - Producing carbon-manganese oxide catalyst comprises forming a manganese oxide solution by mixing water and manganese oxide, stirring the carbon material in the presence of acid, washing until pH 7, then drying the surface treatment of the carbon material, mixing and stirring the surface-treated carbon material in the manganese oxide solution, and forming carbon-manganese oxide catalyst in which manganese (Mn) is doped in an oxide form on the surface of the carbon material by washing until pH 7 and then heat-treating at 500-700 degrees C. USE - The carbon-manganese oxide catalyst useful for electrode for improving lifespan characteristics in a hybrid capacitor. ADVANTAGE - The high catalytic activity characteristics of catalyst increases initial formation characteristics, improves energy density and cycle life characteristics; has hydrophilic properties, and improves the impregnation property of the electrolyte. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for energy storage device, comprising a positive electrode comprising a positive active material, a conductive material, and a binder. A negative electrode comprising an anode active material, a conductive material and a binder. An electrolyte in which the positive electrode and the negative electrode are immersed. The positive electrode is a carbon-manganese oxide catalyst in which manganese (Mn) is doped in the form of an oxide on the surface of the carbon material.
