NOVELTY - Manufacture of lithium-ion battery involves depositing at least one dense layer comprising an anode, a cathode and/or an electrolyte, by supplying a substrate and a suspension of non-agglomerated nanoparticles of material (P), depositing a layer, on the substrate, from the suspension of primary nanoparticles of the material (P), drying the layer, and performing densification of the dried layer by mechanical. The nanoparticles of material (P) have a size distribution (D50) (D1) of 20-50 nm, and (D2) of at least five times lower than that of (D1) or the distribution has an average size of the material (P) nanoparticles of less than 50 nm, and a standard deviation to average size ratio of more than 0.6. The battery has a capacity of more than 1 mAh. USE - Manufacture of lithium-ion battery (claimed). Uses include but are not limited to phone, laptop, portable tool, autonomous sensor, and electric vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of lithium-ion battery with increased capacity, energy density, and reduced porosity.
