NOVELTY - Multifunctional graphene polyamide master batch comprises 40-85 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 20-50 pts. wt. modified polyamide, 6-16 pts. wt. carbon nanotube, 5-12 pts. wt. montmorillonite, 1-3 pts. wt. dispersant, and 1-3 pts. wt. antioxidant. USE - The multifunctional graphene polyamide master batch is useful for plastic packaging material, plastic sheeting material, and composite material. ADVANTAGE - The master batch: has improved impact resistance and toughness. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the multifunctional graphene polyamide master batch comprising (1) weighing the graphene oxide prepared by the Staudenmaier process in a reaction vessel, dispersing it by ultrasonic waves for 5-10 minutes, dispersing it in water, and stirring it for 10-15 minutes to obtain a graphene oxide mixed solution; (2) adding carbon nanotubes to the reaction vessel of step (1), keep the rotation speed at 300-350 revolutions/minute, keep stirring for 20-30 minutes, fully mixing carbon nanotube and the graphene oxide mixed solution to obtain the mixture A; (3) weighing the silane coupling agent KH-560 and completely dissolving it in isopropanol , adding zinc oxide, mechanically stirring the reaction in the reactor at 75-110°C for 3-7 hours, suction filtering, extracting with isolide alcohol at 75-100°C for 4-7 hours, vacuum-drying at 40-65°C for 10-15 hours to obtain surface-modified zinc oxide sample-1; mixing the dried polyamide and vinyl acid evenly into the HAKKE rheometer, processing temperature is 200-260°C, rotor speed is 180-240 revolutions/minute, and mixing time is 5-10 minutes, melt blending obtains sample 2; weighing zinc oxide sample 1 and sample 2 and adding them into HAKKE rheometer for melt blending to obtain modified polyamide, the processing temperature is 200-240°C, the rotor speed is 130-180 revolutions/minute, and the mixing time is 10-18 minutes; (4) weighing montmorillonite and adding it into a ball mill for grinding to obtain montmorillonite powder, particle size is ≥ 300 mesh; and (5) adding the mixture A, modified polyamide and montmorillonite powder into a reaction vessel containing an organic solvent, under ultrasonic dispersion and mechanical stirring, making it fully mixed, adding the dispersant and antioxidant that melted into a liquid to obtain a mixture, continuously ultrasonically dispersing and mechanically stirring to make the mixture uniform, removing the organic solvent, adding it into the reaction kettle, controlling the reaction time for 60-110 minutes, and the reaction temperature is 180-240°C; feeding resulting mixture into extruder and extruding into filaments, cooling and granulating into pellets to obtain multifunctional graphene polymer master batch.
