NOVELTY - Preparing graphene-based nano-molybdenum disulfide lubricating oil additive comprises (i) dispersing graphene oxide in deionized water and performing ultrasonic treatment to obtain graphene oxide dispersion having concentration of 0.1-1 mg/ml, (ii) dissolving thiourea and ammonium paramolybdate in solution of step (i), mixing and stirring, (iii) slowly adding dilute hydrochloric acid solution into mixed solution of step (ii) to adjust the pH value, and (iv) pouring solution prepared in step (iii) into reaction vessel, reacting at set temperature for a while, naturally cooling, repeatedly washing with deionized water and absolute ethanol, and drying to obtain final product. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene-based nano-molybdenum disulfide lubricating oil additive. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and environmentally friendly. The additive has excellent dispersion stability, reduces friction and part wear and extends machine life.
