NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide-polyether-benzimidazole composite film material involves adding 0.1 g graphene oxide in 50 ml deionized water, performing ultrasonic dispersion for 1 hour to obtain graphene oxide aqueous solution, adding graphene oxide aqueous solution in 100 ml dimethyl sulfoxide, stirring for 1 hour, performing distillation under reduced pressure to remove the water, then centrifuging obtained graphene oxide/dimethyl sulfoxide solution at speed of 3000 revolutions per minute (rpm) for 30 minutes to obtain the uniformly dispersed graphene oxide organic solution. USE - Method for preparing graphene oxide-polyether-benzimidazole composite film material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene oxide-polyether-benzimidazole composite film material having improved mechanical performance and can be utilized under more harsh environment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene oxide-polyether-benzimidazole composite film material involves adding 0.1 g graphene oxide in 50 ml deionized water, performing ultrasonic dispersion for 1 hour to obtain graphene oxide aqueous solution, adding graphene oxide aqueous solution in 100 ml dimethyl sulfoxide, stirring for 1 hour, performing distillation under reduced pressure to remove the water, centrifuging obtained graphene oxide/dimethyl sulfoxide solution at speed of 3000 revolutions per minute (rpm) for 30 minutes to obtain the uniformly dispersed graphene oxide organic solution, adding 5.0 mmol of 3,3'diaminobenzidine (DAB) and 4,4'-dicarboxydiphenyl ether (DCDPE) in 100 ml three-neck flask, adding 45g poly(methyl methacrylate), heating to 140 degrees C, stirring for 40 minutes under the nitrogen atmosphere, precipitating the product into ice water, washing with 5% sodium bicarbonate solution for 24 hours, washing with de-ionized water for 24 hours, drying to obtain the target product, adding poly(2,2'-(p-oxidiphenylene)-5,5'-bibenzimidazole (OPBI) in graphene oxide/dimethyl sulfoxide solution to obtain a composite having graphene oxide content of 0.3 wt.%, magnetically stirring to completely dissolve, casting on a smooth glass plate, drying for 80 hours at 12 degrees C, washing for 12 hours in water bath at 60 degrees C, removing the solvent completely, and then drying for 12 hours at 80 degrees C to obtain the finished product.
