NOVELTY - The method involves protonating a quantity chitosan to obtain protonated chitosan; mixing a quantity of graphene oxide with the protonated chitosan to obtain a solution; filling a molding structure with a quantity of the solution; evaporating a solution on a surface to obtain a membrane having a target thickness; and placing the membrane between two layers. USE - Method of making a highly-resilient fluid and gas apparatus. ADVANTAGE - The chitosan improves the structure of the channels formed in the membranes during the evaporation process that increase the rate, of water flow without compromising contaminant rejection. The water can flow more freely through the membranes because of the addition of the chitosan. The cost of frequently replacing filtration devices is reduced and the filter has long service life. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a filtration apparatus, which comprises a membrane formed from an evaporated chitosan and graphene solution, where he membrane has a thickness between 10 microns and 200 microns.
